Wreckfish, Holiday Hours and Ordering Polices and Weekend Specialties 12.17.15 December 16 2015 Posted in

Wreckfish season will be over in a few weeks and we have one last final run coming in this week so take advantage as it won’t be back until mid-April.  Wreckfish have thick, mild flavor fillet with skin well suited to pan searing. 

In other, perhaps more important news, Christmas is next week and we’re already in full gear here at The Lobster Place making sure we have a full selection of the freshest and finest seafood available for all of your holiday festivities.  The usual suspects will be on hand as well as the following specialties: Live blue crabs, live Dungeness, stone crab claws, anchovies, haddock, john dory, kampachi, Atlantic mackerel, tuna belly, uni trays, caviar, lobsters, and live peconic bay scallops.

 It’s also worth mentioning for those of you who are behind on the holiday shopping (ahem) it’s not too late to get gift cards and seafood kits sent to friends and family.  Stay tuned next week for a complete list of Christmas specialties. Cull & Pistol Hours
Christmas Eve: 11:30am – 6pm (Happy Hour is on!)
Christmas Day: Closed

Due to the increased volume in our store prior to Christmas and New Year’s, please note the following policies for placing advanced orders at The Lobster Place:

Pre-order Pickups:  We can only accept Pre-Order Pick-Ups on 12/23, 12/24, 12/30 & 12/31 for Clambakes & Platters. All other raw product will be handled on a first come first serve basis in our store

Home Deliveries:  We will not have delivery service on 12/23, 12/24, 12/30 & 12/31

FedEx:  FedEx orders for arrival on 12/24 and 12/31 must be placed by 12pm on the preceding Tuesday (12/22 and 12/29).

Rest assured that we will be stocking up heavily on all items for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will have plenty of inventory on hand. However, there is a possibility that we may run out of certain items later in the day so, if possible, we encourage you to get your seafood shopping done earlier.
