Culinary Professionals like Private Chefs and Small Caterers have a difficult job. Satisfying your demanding clients means that you need uniquely attentive service from your suppliers. At the same time, you’re running a business so your food cost matters.

The Lobster Place Culinary Professionals Program (CPP) fills the void between the wholesale trade—where minimum order quantities and minimum delivery totals can get in the way of satisfaction—and the retail store, where food cost can put a real dent in your profits.

Members of our Culinary Professionals Program receive:

All you need is a Tax Identification number for your business and you’re on your way. Qualifying Culinary Professionals are given a special CPP account number that automatically applies the discount to advance orders. You’ll also be issued a CPP Membership Card that can be used when checking out in-store.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY:
FOR OUR RETAIL DIVISION CUSTOMERS

Local Delivery:
The Lobster Place Seafood Market makes two deliveries daily, between 12-2pm and 2-4pm for retail customers and members of our Culinary Professional Program residing or working in Manhattan below 96th street. Orders must be placed the day before with our retail staff and must meet a $100 minimum.

Please make sure someone is available at the “ship to” address to accept delivery between the hours of your pre-assigned timeslot. We will ice your product thoroughly so that it stays fresh right up until it’s unpacked. If you have a doorman, we’re happy to leave the delivery with them at your request.

Nationwide Air Shipping:
The Lobster Place Seafood Market uses FedEx standard overnight to ship our products to individual consumers and Culinary Professional Members anywhere in the continental United States. Airship orders must be placed two days before the expected delivery date. In most areas this means the package will arrive no later than 3pm. Please keep in mind that to maximize freshness, your seafood should be consumed on the night it is received.

Overnight shipments cannot be delivered on Sunday’s, Monday’s, major holidays or the day after major holidays due to FedEx’s operating schedule.

Shipping charges for nationwide delivery are determined by the GROSS WEIGHT of the package (including ice packs, box, etc.) and the SIZE of the package. There are no order minimums, however a $10.00 handling charge is applied to all FedEx shipments under $100.

The Lobster Place IS NOT responsible for delays in the arrival of your shipment due to weather, FedEx mechanical failure or other logistics disruptions. We understand that your seafood order may be intended for a special occasion. Please keep in mind that Federal Express is not perfect and weather disruptions and mechanical problems are always possible. As such, you should always consider an alternative menu for your special occasion when ordering for overnight shipment of seafood – particularly around the holidays.

If Federal Express experiences a delay that renders your order undeliverable , we will provide a 100% credit or a refund EXCEPT in the following circumstances: (1) If, prior to the shipment of your package, we attempt to notify you of a known Federal Express service disruption. (2) If no signature release is provided on receipt of your delivery, we cannot provide credits or refunds for lost packages.

 

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY:
FOR OUR WHOLESALE DIVISION CUSTOMERS

The Lobster Place Wholesale division makes two daily deliveries, Monday through Saturday. If you get your order to us by 1am, we can process it in time for delivery prior to noon the next day. Our afternoon cutoff for same-day delivery is 1pm.

For deliveries, all claims arising from product quality must be made on the date of the delivery. Simply contact us and we’ll make it right.

Our minimum order amount for deliveries to Manhattan is $100. The minimum for deliveries elsewhere is $150. A $10 delivery charge may be levied for orders under the minimum.

Nationwide Air Shipping:
The Lobster Place Wholesale Division uses FedEx Priority Overnight to ship our products to restaurants anywhere in the continental United States. If we receive your order by 4pm, it can be shipped the next business day.

In addition, a $15.00 handling charge is applied to all FedEx shipments.
