How is it farmed? Tilapia is farmed in inland ponds and tanks, ridgeways, and raceways.

Where does The Lobster Place Source it? The Lobster Place procures Tilapia from vendors in the New Fulton Fish Market.

Is it sustainable? Tilapia is well suited for farming because it adapts well to a variety of environments, and because it provides more protein than it takes to raise it.  Among Central American producers, minor concerns exist about the potential for escapes and pollution.
