Cape Cod Triggerfish and Weekend Specialties July 18 2017 Posted in

It’s rare triggerfish make it up to Cape Cod as they normally inhabit waters from North Carolina to the Caribbean.  We won’t complain when we find out fishermen in the Cape have it though!  These fish are rare in that there isn’t much of a commercial fishery for them.  Don’t let that fool you though, triggerfish are excellent eating fish, with firm white flesh that is quite sweet in flavor and similar to blue crab.  The flake is small and the meat is delicate and moist.
