Fried Blowfish Tails

A quick and easy way to enjoy.  These blowfish tails are great for dipping in your favorite sauces!

Fried Blowfish Tails


  • 1 lb blowfish tails
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 lemon
  • Vegetable oil


Put flour, whisked eggs and panko breadcrumbs in separate bowls.  Dredge blowfish tails in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs and set aside

Heat enough oil in a pan to fill 2-3 inches.  Once oil is shimmering, drop blowfish tails in and cook 2 minutes per side or until nicely browned.  Fry blowfish tails in small batches to avoid over crowding. Once cooked, set aside on paper towel to drain excess oil.

Serves 4
